The Country House "La Tenuta Castiglione del Lago" lies in Castiglione del Lago, the so-called "Pearl of the trasimeno Lake", between the natural parks "La Valle" and "Motepulciano". Its closeness to the lake's banks and to the main historical and cultural centres of Italy allows the Agritourism to offer a made to measure holiday to its guests: in less than two hours drive you can both leap into the verdant nature of Umbria and into museums of Rome, or you can reach Tuscany and open the jewelcases of Humanism and Renaissance of Florence, Siena and Arezzo.
You can also choose to spend a relaxing time in the park, in the swimming pool and in the leisure and sport facilities of La Tenuta Castiglione del Lago.

Or maybe you will prefer walking or mountain-bike riding in the immediate surroundings, where you can watch the local fauna or visit the marvellous island of Trasimeno Lake, thus tracing back to the enchantment of the Etruscan and Roman cultures, or the sweet magic of Franciscan mysticism. La Tenuta Castiglione del Lago is near Castiglione del Lago, on the Lake Trasimeno, in a vast natural area and is near the most interesting cultural and artistic centres like Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Gubbio, Orvieto in Umbria, and Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Chiusi, Cetona, Pienza, Montepulciano in Tuscany, all of them you can reach in less than an hour.
The passionate enologists find the places of production of Brunello di Montalcino, Bianco Vergine della Valdichiana e Nobile di Montepulciano, and there are also several thermal spas nearby like Chianciano Terme, Terme di Sant'Albino, Bagno Vignoni, Bagni di San Filippo, San Casciano dei Bagni. The restaurant offers to the inside of our pleasant room, the possibility to taste a wide variety of typical plates of the Tuscany and Umbria kitchen, than, thanks to the ability of our Giuliana cook, are prepared "in house": tagliatelle, gnocchi, accompanied from optimal regional and national wines with a careful service.

The variety of the landscapes and therefore of the products, has allowed the development of a new and rich cooking tradition.
