CASALE CERRETO - TUSCANY - SIENA
The farmhouse dates from the 17th century and is part of a large classical Tuscan estate with abundant cork oaks and cultivated fields, surrounded by different coloured roses, strongly perfumed broom and woodland. The main structure and the two small, cosy annexes have been salvaged with elegance and simplicity in keeping with the Tuscan tradition. The rooms are decorated with antique furniture, delicate colours, tasteful ornaments and modern conveniences so that the modern traveller has a comfortable stay. In the main house we find a comfortable and functional kitchen with original decoration, laundry room, large living room with fireplace, reading and TV area, guest bathroom and dining room with original ceramics on the walls. The kitchen leads out to the patio where there is a large garden with another eating area and deckchairs and sun umbrellas where you relax with a good book or enjoy the night air. On the first floor, reached by an internal staircase or by the separate entrance, we find a pleasant sitting room and the sleeping area composed of 4 bedrooms – a double room, with en suite bathroom with tub, a twin room with en suite bathroom with shower and two twin rooms sharing a bathroom with shower. In the two annexes we find, in the first one, a living area, bathroom and double bedroom and in the other a small entrance hall and double bedroom with bathroom with shower. The geographic location of this old farmhouse makes it one of our most interesting properties , immersed as it is in the splendid countryside of the Tuscan maremma, within reach of old towns such as Siena, only 20 minutes away, San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence and of the Tuscan coast with Argentario and the Maremma. Please Note: when property is rented in this solution no other guest will be present on site.
PARK: the property is situated in an unenclosed park of about 150 acres of which about 4000 sq mts are reserved for the exclusive use of the guests. Many plants, both aromatic and decorative, adorn the garden.
SWIMMING POOL: open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, the oval-shaped pool measures 4,5 x 10 mts with a depth of 1,20 mts. The area around the pool is fenced in. The pool, due to the particular lay of the land, is partially raised out of the ground and has a wooden solarium and is equipped with garden furniture.
INTERIORS: the house has two floors. On the ground floor a portico with an attractive dining table leads into an airy dining room through a French window. A pleasant, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, guest bathroom and a large airy living room elegantly furnished with TV and fireplace complete the ground floor. All the rooms have access to the garden through French windows. An attractive internal staircase leads to a large room with mezzanine on the first floor leading to 4 bedrooms, a double one and a twin one with en suite bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower, and two twin bedded ones, which can be transformed into double ones, with shared bathroom with shower. Annex: 1) the annex is located at the end of the garden and is composed of a day area with divans, a bath with shower and a mezzanine with two single beds. 2) The otter annex is just a few metres from the farmhouse and is composed of an entrance hall, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
SERVICES INCLUDED: electricity, water, gas for cooking use, weekly linen change, house cleaning at beginning and end of stay, pool and park maintenance.
SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): extra house cleaning (€ 12,00/h), extra linen (€ 10,00 per persona), heating (€ 4,80/m³), meal preparation.
FACILITIES: satellite TV (in the living room), DVD, CD player and radio, dishwasher, washing machine, telephone, barbecue.
ACCOMMODATION: 12 (8 in the house and 2 in each annex making a total of 4)
